![]() ![]() The ECU will not go ready and there's no way to make it do so if the rear O2 is bad or missing. First of all you CANNOT remove the rear O2 sensor - just get that out of your head completely if you figured on it. There is more to it than *just* eliminating the P0420 code. Yes you can revert back to stock if you "mess up" assuming you don't mess up by bricking the ECU such as interrupting the flash process, etc. So I'll need to find the update/definitions for specific vehicles via searching/boards or are they commonly available?Īm I doomed eliminating P0420 on a Tribeca?! Ha! I’ll be doing only 05+.Ĭan I copy and revert to the original ROM if I run into issues? It appears all/most of the common tactrix cables work on 05-09 nonturbo stuff which will be what i'm doing to start. You could PM those guys for info too.Īwesome LT - that is very generous of you. ![]() PM me a mailing addy and I will work on getting it to you - could be a week or 2 as we are very busy catching-up on things since my MIL moved out.Īs you know, over at, PlainOM and others have a thread. It's unlikely, but, you could just mail it back if I ever needed it. I see no reason I couldn't mail the cable to you to play around with. ![]() You might consider putting those files on a cloud server somewhere too, associate it to the VIN? - just in case you need to revert to original. DO NOT try to use ECU Flash from any laptop that is not fully charged! Also, I recommend getting a cheap flash drive for any car you mod, throw the original rom data and the new data in files on it to pass along to the owner. After downloading the software, you have to do an update for the 'definitions' for each car model/year. As for the range of models my cable works with, after you get it, you could email Tactrix or maybe the RR group to figure out what it will/won't work with. While I have used RR and ECU Flash with a Tactrix cable and laptop, it was not 'easy'. ![]()
